Beginner Quilting Class
In this two part class you will learn all the basics:
- using a rotary cutter & ruler
- machine mechanics (you must bring your own machine)
- choosing fabrics for your projects
- how to sew a 1/4" seam allowance
- basic pressing
- squaring up blocks
- border basics
You will begin the pattern "Grand Square" by Missouri Star Quilt Co. in class one. Sarah will send you off with homework for class two.
Supplies needed: 2 charm packs (5" squares), 2 yards background fabric, and 1 yard border fabric. If you already have these, great! If not, you will receive 20% off all supplies you buy for class. If you would like help prior to class with fabric selection, you may come in at noon on Saturday, February 11th and Sarah will be here to help.
